About

...a bit about the artist

Terry’s current work symbolizes his journey full-circle back to his roots as an artist. Training in commercial art at the Burnley School of Art in Seattle in the early 1970’s, Terry worked in advertising until he joined the Boeing Company as an illustrator. He continued to leverage his design background as an instructor and course developer with the Boeing Company across a variety of topics with a focus on three-dimensional CAD design.
In 2000 he hopped out of the corporate world to become a stay-at-home dad for his two Russian-adopted sons. This allowed him the opportunity to return to his passion for art, producing hand-crafted furniture through his small business TerryDesigns Studio. Terry splits his time living in a quiet coastal town in Manzanita Oregon along with an old coal-mining town in Newcastle, Washington. Along with his sons, he has three grown daughters that all live in the Puget Sound area.
